Idaho does not have a comprehensive medical cannabis program. Cannabis remains illegal for all uses, and possession of any amount is a criminal offense. A medical cannabis legalization initiative collected signatures for the 2026 ballot but did not qualify to appear on the ballot. The Medical Cannabis Coalition is working to bring safe access to Idaho patients.
